Starlight Masquerade Ball

"All Manner of Frivolity" is promised those attending the Starlight Masquerade Ball to be held Saturday Feb. 3 at Whitetail Club in McCall. The event begins at 8pm and features complimentary Champagne, hors d'oeuvres, a no-host bar, prizes for the best costumes, and a silent and live auctions. For more info call 634-2006.

Tamarack Resort is thrilled to be named the final stop on the country’s greatest snowboard competition series, the 2006-07 Chevrolet U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix. On February 24-25, 2007, U.S. Olympic medalists and world-class snowboarders will go head-to-head at Tamarack on a mammoth 22-foot half pipe and on a specially-constructed snowboard cross course. The Grand Prix series kicks off in Breckenridge Resort, CO on December 14-16, before concluding at Tamarack on February 24-25. Field sizes will be made up of about 90 men and 40 women in each of the half pipe contests at all three venues. Only Tamarack Resort will host a snowboard cross [SBX] event, expected to field about 100 men and 30 women. Millions of viewers nationwide will be introduced to Idaho and Tamarack through event broadcasts on NBC and special rebroadcasts on the Outdoor Life Network.

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary!!! McCall Super 8 is now entering/celebrating its 10th year in operation. Our first milestone was being the first national chain that opened in McCall in 1997. Next we signed up the 5,000,000th customer in the Super 8 VIP program(now replaced with the new loyalty based TripRewards program.
Next we expanded the hot tub area and added the Wild Idaho Conference Room,(seats 50).
Along the way we have received several Pride of Super 8 rankings ranking us with the best of the best with all of the Super 8's in the country.
In 2000, we received the Golden Pineapple Award from the Super 8 company. It was awarded during the big fire season that burned over 100,000 acres. We housed several of the Forest Service crews that worked dilligently to stop the wild fires. At the end of the season we had a going away party for those that stayed with over months at a time, with a BBQ picnic. The crews had commended us on our great hospitality and kindness. The word was pass on and our manager was invited to the National Super 8 convention to accept the award.
An indoor pool is being planned for next year so bring your suits.
