Benefit Garden Tour This Weekend

Don't miss this tour of five beautiful gardens in McCall and Donnelly this Saturday July 29. This event is hosted by The Snowdon Wildlife Sanctuary and the Valley County Master Gardeners.

Starting at 11am at the Central Idaho Historical Museum (1001 State St.). the event includes lunch of chicken salad, grapes and iced tea. There will also be a lunchtime presentation by Kristie Forrey of Valley County Gardeners entitled "A Plant and Animal Partnership," discussing bat houses, butterfly houses and plants that draw wildlife. 2008 Masters World Cup in McCall

McCall is the host city for the 2008 World Cup, which draws 1,000 of the world's best cross-country masters skiers in their age group and the world championship titles to races that take place over six days. The races will be held at Ponderosa State Park.

To benefit this Masters World Cup event, The Lakeside Summer Soiree and Wine Auction will be held Friday July 28 starting at 6pm on the patio at downtown Hotel McCall.

There will be live music and wine tasting will include hors d'oeuvres by Edible Art Catering.

Mark your calendars for The McCall Music Festival July 21-22. On Friday July 21 Gayle Chapman on guitar and vocals, will be opening for headliner Curtis Stigers. On Saturday July 22, singer Eilen Jewell will perform followed by "The Bills" a rollicking Canadian quartet.

Charlie's Garden Party

Tickets are now on sale for the Idaho Artists' Celebration of Charlie's Garden to be held Sat. July 29 5:30-8pm. Artwork of Idaho artists will be displayed in the colorful setting of Charlie's Garden, located on Warren Wagon Road north of McCall. The evening will include a commemorative wine glass, wine tasting and hearty appetizers. Call 634-7136 for more information.
